giveaway, Giveaway, GIVEAWAY!

To fully jump back into blogging, and to convince readers that they should still come visit me here, I’m giving away something shiny and new!  Oooooh!  KitchenAid has provided me with a brand new 13-cup food processor to give away to one lucky reader.  Exciting!

I’m going to make this real easy for you, in order to qualify for the random draw that I will do on Friday, November 25th, all you have to do is comment on this post and tell me:

-One thing you’d make with your new food processor
AND
-One thing you’d like to see me make on Jumbo Empanadas.

Easy peasy.  If you’d like a second contest entry, then tweet something like:

“@brilynnferguson is giving away a KA food processor on Jumbo Empanadas http://jumboempanadas.blogspot.com/2011/11/giveaway-giveaway-giveaway.html and I want to win it!”

Feel free to customize your tweet, you’re a creative bunch, just make sure you @mention me and link to this page and BAM! you’ve got a second entry!

Apologies to my foreign friends, the contest is only open to Canadians, but everyone else is welcome to comment!  Good luck!

Well I will comment since I am only half Canadian and live in the US...boo. :)

I am drooling over this I must say. I put it on my Christmas wishlist but know it's not happening. :)

Finally a giveaway open to Canadians! Yipee!!! Glad to see you back Brilynn! I would definitely make a batch of hummus with this baby. My tiny little food processor doesn't hold enough for me to make a huge batch.

Welcome back Brilynn.
I'd make some beet Hummus....tried it at a farmers market this weekend and need to figure it out.

I'd like you to go back to baking...it always looks so tasty.

I would quickly slice some potatoes for scalloped potatoes.

And I'm stealing from another comment- I'd also love to see a recipe for beet hummus. I've never tried it, but love both those things so sounds like a winner to me!

Great giveaway Brilynn! I would make guacamole for sure! And what would I like to see you make...? Anything with sweet potatoes! Mmmm!

I see that the other commenters all beat me to saying hummus! And guacamole! So I guess I'd make hummm borscht! Yes...borscht would be good. I'd like to see you make pie crust. I could use some serious pie crust remediation.

I would make a batch of "Fastest Cinnamon Buns" from Fine Cooking magazine. Perhaps you could make some dark chocolate candy cane bark?

Hmm...I'd probably make a piecrust with it! As for what I'd like to see you make? I'll go with anything chocolate. I'm easy to please :)

I'd try making pastry dough with a new Kitchenaid food processor, and I think you should try making some kind of chocolate Christmas bark.

I've always wanted a KitchenAid! I'd immediately make an awesome smoothie that has CARROTS in it.

I'd love to see you try your hand at making a low calorie bread! The pre-cut loaves in the store stymie me; I just don't know how they do it.

One thing I'd make would be pesto (although I'd have to wait a while). One thing I'd like to see you make would be cream puffs with some sort of interesting filling.

I have been on a chick pea kick so I would probably make some roasted garlic hummus. I would love to see you do a copy cat of the caramel chocolate squares from Starbucks. The little one inch squares ones that look like thaey have maybe a shortbread crust! They are pretty awesome!

Thanks for the opportunity!

Glad to see you back in my Reader again!

I'd love a food processor to make my own nut butters and pestos.

Some bar recipes would be great as they tend to be a little easier (and portable) for the holidays. And chocolate = win.

Ooh - I covet the KitchenAid! If I had it, I'd use it to make coleslaw and also to chop veggies for winter soups.

I'd like to see you make fish tacos! I know this is more of a sweet blog, but I still remember when you made your own bacon!

I would finally try making a pie crust in the food processor. I have an old one that has broken down twice and is really small, but this would match my anniversary gift of a Kitchen Aid mixer (finally after 25 years of marriage!). Love your new look, and good luck in school.

I would make artichoke dip. My food processor is not great and really is more of a hassle than anything.
I would love to see something with butter and sugar and more butter ;)

Something involving bread crumbs... those things are awful to shred by hand! So some sort of bread crumb crust I suppose!

Since this is my first time visiting the blog, I'd really like to see a giant... burrito! I'm sure the Empanada has been done...

I'm excited to follow you and read more recipes!

Would love to make pizza dough or pie crust. Would love you to make something you've always wanted to try but were a bit scared to.
Thanks!

I would use it to puree some yummy butternut squash soup. I would love to see you make some type of holiday dessert. Thanks!

Hi!

I've been a bit obsessed with Jamie Oliver's 30 minute meals show lately and if you've ever watched it, a food processor is indispensible ... but alas, I do not own one so I just watch and drool! I'd love to win this so I can start chopping things with lightning speed and make this: http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/chicken-recipes/green-curry-crispy-chicken-kimchee-slaw

I'd love for you to try some fun yet practical things like .... making your own cheese?

Thanks for doing the giveaway!
